- The KMS Executive Board has appointed Prof. R. Limani the Leader of Kosovo's IMO Team. Prof. Limani will be an Observer at the IMO in Astana in 2010. Kosovo is expected to send a team to the 2011 IMO in Amsterdam. More information about the IMO can be found here and here.
- Under the auspices of the Office of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, the Kosovar Mathematical Society organized the first Kosovar Mathematical Olympiad, which was held on 23 May 2009 in Prishtina.
